It’s been the hottest August on record, and another record was broken in July with the hottest July temperature ever recorded. So trips out and about were very limited in such oppressive heat.
From the few outings we had, here is a snapshot of our tiny island in the summer.

3. Polite dog hoping that his good behaviour might earn him a reward.
4. The local cats know that politeness gets you nowhere. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Works every time.
5. Enjoying a slight breeze by the sea.
6. Beautiful skies – always something to see, even if it’s too hot to go out.
7. Unusual colour hibiscus in the village.
8. The village cats were more than happy to relieve me of some treats.
